Biography

My name is Hannah. Born, bred and raised in Flemington, New Jersey, a small town north of Trenton by about twenty minutes. I grew up as the youngest daughter of three, my life filled with furry (sometimes scaled) companions.

I graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 2007 and moved on to The College of New Jersey. It took me three semesters to declare my Communication Studies major and not nearly as long to declare my minor in Women and Gender Studies.

My oldest sister is an artist and the middle sister is an EMT. My mother is a resource teacher. My father, a lawyer. As a child, I wanted to be an actress, artist, veterinarian, pilot, pet shop owner. All at the same time! I knew it was unrealistic, but I didn't know what else to say. I didn't have a drive from childhood towards any particular goal, but always told people I would never be a lawyer. To say I was wrong would be a massive understatement.

My interest in the law comes from innocent experiences. I completed legal research for my father's small firm. I interned for New Jersey Senator Shirley Turner, and researched past, present and potential legislation for her review, talking points and voting preferences. I assisted my father's office move, and found myself seated among boxes of WestLaw books, doing more reading than shelving.

As it turns out, I really love to read about, research and apply the law! I look forward to visiting Dad's office to look through his books, helping him organize and prepare for trials, doing paperwork for cases, and sitting in on his cases and motions.

Quite simply, in the future I aim to become a legal consultant. In fifteen years, I want to open an animal rescue in addition to my career. I want to provide a forever home for older animals or pets that are deemed "unadoptable" by rescue agencies.

I hope you can understand where I am coming from with my interest and motivation to study the law. Please continue to peruse my portfolio, and do not hesitate to email me!

Sincerely,
Hannah
